Film Reviews: Even by Hong Kong cinema’s colorful standards, "Running on Karma" ranks as one of the looniest high concepts to date: A monk-turned-steroidal bodybuilder with magical powers teams with a rookie femme cop to catch a killer and save her soul. Latest outing from the Johnnie To/Wai Ka-fai factory, hot on the heels of their romantic comedy "Turn Left Turn Right," starts out gangbusters but jumps the rails halfway before an only partly satisfying finale.
