Recently i posted a forum topic on how anarchists arent cool, and everyone agreed with me. Today i got a sty in my right eye so i have to stay inside and keep a hot facecloth on it. Anyway, i rember when i went to quebec last february how there we’re so many canadians whereing che guevera shirts and how in the allyies there was communist graphiti spray painted in red all over the walls. So i’d just like to make it quite clear, COMMUNISM ISN’T COOL. Che guevera may have looked like a saint and all in the motorcycle diaries played by gael garcia bernal and all (it was a good movie) But as a communist he reallyu wasn’t. After overthrowing the cuben goverment hand and hand with fidel castro he became in charge of the la cabana prison where he held military tribunals overseeing the execution of hundreds if not thousands of "counter revolutionaries" some of them being young children caught up in the power struggles. He also set up a police state in cuba and created labor camps for all "udesirable elements". He also played a big part in the cuban missle crisis, helping to negotiat the stationing of nuclear warheads on cuba. After the soviets removed them after tense negotiation che declared "if the rockets had remained we would have used them all. Communism is why life in cuba sucks, they don’t even have power for 12 hours of the day. So seeing kids wearing all those fucking communist trinkets just pisses me off. And if anyone dissagrees with me i’ll gladly tell about the multitude of atrocities commited under soviet russia.

I don’t aspire to be like traditional Communists, I aim to change that (if I was a country’s leader, of course). make it a real haven for the people. Ya know, there’s a reason why all Communist governments have been instated thruogh rebellion by the people... the rulers just get too greedy.

Yeah, life in a hippy commune sounds like a blast, free love and all. Communism may work in small doses like with hippies, but it simply can’t rule a country. Y couldn’t all of those revolutionaries fought for democracy like our patriots did. But communism sounded great to simple minded russian peasents so they backed it up. But realy, communism has been around for almost a century, and can u give me any example of positive results? Look, if u want to fight for something, fight for somehing rational, not a form of goverment that killed millions cause it doesn’t make u cool

I agree with you completely, well- not that anything is or isnt cool, but that pure communism- the way the ruskis tried it anyway, probably isnt such a hot idear. I think thats a form of living that is suited for people who actually want things to be that way.
It was a good idea though.
Atrocities are committed in democratic countries as well. By assholes.

Communism wasn’t ever a good idea, the soviets just tried to make it look cool with all those propaganda posters. Its a stupid idea, it destroyed the aristocracy, the bourgious the middle class, and subjugated everyone to the poverty level. Some people are simply grow into better people than others, although we should be born with all of our natural rights. Making everyone peasants was never a good idea.

I imagine that if you where one of the people in the lower class, watching the rich thrive while you where STARVING, you might think a little differently.
Dont judge things like that from your mode of living today- back then, things where very different than they are for you right now.

I still think it was a good idea, and an incredible social experiment that the entire world learned from.

Hey, in the turbulent times of pre-soviet russia, if i happened to be misfortunate enough to be a starving peasent i’d support the social democrats, and not some devil goateed packaged t0 russia in a sealed train by the germans vladimir lenin

Whoa. no on second thought i think i’d side with the communists so i’d get to trash the aristocrcies houses, steal thier possesions, and riot. Like in dr. zhivago. But u no tsar nicholas II wasn’t a bad man, he was just an incapable leader of a huge backwards ass country. But communisms basic principal, making everyone equal, it can’t be because some people are just stronger, smarter and better than others

I agree with you there, people are NOT equal. But it doesnt mean that they absolutly need to live in a competative environment.
Society was orgionally based on the need to do away with competition....

First off che wasn’t a communist but rather a marxist. (yes theres a difference) And it does sicken me when people where those lame ass shirts especially if they dont know who he is or what he did. Even so i understand that his life wasn’t the romantic tale its made out to be but you have to admit the man was a genius. And i have never hear heard of him being head of a prison but rather Cubas national bank. And of course you can point out the atrocities of soviet russia. Stalin was a bad as hitler. That isnt communism what they had. It was tyranny. The only flaw in communism is the nature of mans desire for power and most likely that will never change.
Btw regan was a dick and i’m glad hes dead.

Fuck you, regan was one of our greatest presidents, if it wasn’t 4 him you’d be freezing your ass on in nuclear winter. He stopped the cold war "mr gorbachev, tear down this wall!" So shut the fuck up you ungrateful fuck. Communism NEVER has been an effective form of goverment. Life in all parts of the iron cutain scked. And he WAS (che) the head of a prison and he set up concentration camps. And you say there was a difference between communism and marxism? Bullshit, whatever you want to call it both concepts fucked up countries, sent many russians to turn to cheap grain alchohal, sent many to concentration camps, and manny many people have died. If you still embrace any concepts that are even related to communism just fuck off. Hey, and u said it yourself, communism can’t survive because of man’s flaws. VIVA LA REGAN REVOLUTION!!!!!

agreed blanco. Anyway i did say communism has never worked so dont think otherwise tartar. And i still embrace the belief that the proleteriat has rights and the power to start a revolution. especially over those g.o.p. bastards. What sucks is some power hungry "revolutionary" would probably take advantage of the turmoil and climb up to the top assuming power as did hitler. (i know he wasnt communist but he did something along those lines in order to get to power). And i’d like you to cite your facts as to where it says che was in charge of a prison.

Also tartar you dont have to tell me how he executed some of his own men while in the jungle on his guerilla missions. It was rash but he feared treason normally for a good reason and since you cant contain people out in the jungle what else can you do to a threat but kill them. But that is pissant stuff compared to what your saying he did in cuba and i really want to see that.
