Amazons International # 31 ************************** Contents: Words from Editor Susanne: Bio Thomas: Sandahl Bergman filmography Steve C.: Bio & Giant Amazons Jim W.: Bio & Amazon's Arena BBS CyberAmazon: Macho Woman (cyberpunk story) Date of Transmission: 17.07.93 *************************************************************** Words from Editor Welcome to another issue of Amazons International! I'd like to start out with two news items: (1) I'm glad to welcome Jim Woodard and the Amazon's Arena BBS as subscribers to Amazons International. You'll find Jim's bio and info about the BBS below. This means that AI has got some 200 new regular readers (making a total of about 500), including professional artists, bobybuilders and wrestlers. (2) Two weeks ago I was at the ARCON 9 role playing congress, taking place here at the University of Oslo, filling the entire week-end from friday to sunday afternoon. I've never been into role playing, but there were two reasons that I strongly wanted to go to this event. The first reason was that the congress featured a continuous film program (actually two parallel tracks), thus allowing me to see _Terminator 2_ for the 5th time, _Aliens_ for the 7th time, _Blade Runner_ for the 9th time and so on. The second reason was that this congress featured a special role playing game, titled _Macho Women With Guns_ -- the role playing game for female chauvinist pigs of either sex. The program urged participants to leave weapons at home. So I joined 6 other people in a small room late at night and we started playing, under supervision of an experienced female game master who is also known for her interest in vampyrism. We were given each our character, and this environment proved to be a very fertile ground for character development. In fact, my character continued to develop herself on her own after the game was over, and I will leave her with the last word in this issue of Amazons International. She's a very rowdy gothic cyberpunk (gothech?) type of person. Those with a feeble heart or digestive system be warned. - Thomas *************************************************************** From: Susanne Neumann Date: 7 Jul 93 12:47:33 GMT+1 Subject: A short Bio Greetings! I just joined the list and it seems that I finally have found people who are similar to me. I'm 28, 165 cm tall and I'm a chemist (at least in Germany still a more typical male profession). I guess it is not my physical appearance, why I see me as an Amazon (I have not started lifting weights, yet, but I plan it). I'm more a "mental Amazon". I see myself as an individual and not as a stereotype. I don't pay any attention on societal stereotyping and so I don't let anyone limit my way of action (and thinking ;-). I don't want to change to please the world. I want to please myself and I want to make society accept me as I am. Below you will find a list of films with Sandahl Bergman in a main role. I retrieved this list from the movie mailserver service (send a help-request to movie@ibmpcug.co.uk for information about this service). I don't know anything about these movies, and I would appreciate information from anyone who is familiar with them. Some of them seem to have Amazonian titles. Actor/Actress Credits: Bergman, Sandahl All That Jazz (1979) Xanadu (1980) Conan the Barbarian (1981) Airplane II: The Sequel (1982) Getting Physical (1984) (TV) Red Sonja (1985) She (1985) Hell Comes to Frogtown (1987) Kandyland (1987) Programmed to Kill (1987) Stewardess School (1987) Raw Nerve (1991) In the Arms of a Killer (1992) (TV) Revenge on the Highway (1992) (TV) Body of Influence (1993) Loving Lulu (1993) **************************************************************** Date: Thu, 8 Jul 93 14:16:38 EDT From: esc@ulysses.att.com Subject: Bio & Giant Amazons I'm 41, 6'2" and happily married to Sukie, a very strong 5'6" blonde. I agree with those who feel that the fundamental character of being an Amazon comes from inside. Sukie (who will probably post separately) has always been a very tough character. For a ten year period (when she was 31 -- 41) she was quite ill and had a difficult time in the physical strength department. Never the less, it was always clear that she had an enormous amount of self confidence and courage. Recently (following an operation and other treatments) her health has returned and she has become very attracted to making herself physically stronger. She still has a very bad neck and can't deal with traditional weight lifting, but she can deal with light weights (up to 20 pounds) and does them with enormous repetitions as well as lots of aerobic exercise. The results after a few months are stunning -- she looks 10 years younger and much of her strength has returned to her. She is very fascinated by physically strong women as well as those who are intellectually and morally strong, as am I. I've also been fascinated by very tall women and noticed that some others on this list (notably in AI # 9, 15 and 26) share my interests. I've compiled a short list of references to giantesses in the popular literature and would be interested if anyone could expand on this list. I believe there is even a magazine called "Giantess", but I've never been able to track it down. With that said, here's my list: Comic books: Doom Patrol (the old series) AC Comics -- various characters, poor control of "scaling" Dollman -- 91 or 92, 4 issues (very violent) Short Stories (from Jim J. Moskowitz): _A Source of Innocent Merriment_, James Tiptree Jr., _Universe_10_ _Invasion from the Deep_, Paul W. Fairman, Fantastic Adventures, May '51 _Living with the Giants_, Paul Di Filippo, Amazing Stories, Jan '90 _The Giantess_, Robert F. Young, Fantasy and Science Fiction, July '73 _The Incubi of Parallel X_, Theodore Sturgeon, Planet Stories, ?? '51 _Daddy's Big Girl_, Ursula K. LeGuin, Omni Jan '87 _The Enormous Lover_, Steve Ransic Tem, Last Wave Oct '83 _The Journal of Nathaniel Worth_, Robert F. Young, Fantastic Stories, July '78 SF books: Titan's Daughter (James Blish) 1961 Giants Series (James Hogan) 77-81 (not very good) Integral Trees and Smoke Ring (Niven) The Incredible Shrinking Man (Matheson) 1956 (better than the movie) Cartoons: Lots of cartoons during the 70s (this is when I became interested in giantesses, but I haven't seen many before or after) .. typically Playboy. Real Giantesses (I'll use 6'2" as a cutoff): Ashley Richardson 6'2" model Heidi Olsen 6'5" ex BB player (quite beautiful) any number of BB players Movies and TV: The Incredible Shrinking Man Village of the Giants (an amazingly bad B grade movie with many future stars) Fantastic Planet (giants aren't really humans) Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (another groaner with bad special effects) The 30 Foot Bride on Candy Rock Bad Channels -- an alien captures and shrinks women for his collection. Dollman the movie (very violent) Land of the Giants (*grim* TV series from the late 60s) Fantastic Stories had a short story where a college student can make pictures come to life. He spills too much on a photo and ends up with a 9 foot amazon. Ads: There have been many references -- particularly in movie ads for B grade beach movies during the 70s and 80s. The BFG Girl Giant from the late 60s (she would hold 1/25 scale model cars), Mad Magazine had a parody of the ads in 68 or 69. Lots of local ads, car ads, usually poorly done. A remake of the Attack of the 50 Foot Woman is now being made, it should be interesting to see it with real special effects. Additionally AC Comics is trying to put together a movie that would include their 50 ft. giantess Garganta (although that is probably wishful thinking on their part). Full Moon Pictures (a great B-grade movie company) is working on a sequel to Dollman. I really haven't come across much that deals with anything other than Godzilla rampages and/or shock value to draw attention to a product. I haven't come across any of them, but apparently there are stories about a giantess named _Long Nel_ set in London during the reign of Henry VIII. They apparently are quite sexual. If anyone else has interests in giantesses, send me e-mail and we can chat (or post to this list) Steve Crandall evan.crandall@att.com ************************************************************** Date: Tue, 6 Jul 93 11:13:00 From: jim.woodard@filebank.cts.com (Jim Woodard) Subject: Bio & Amazon's Arena BBS info Hi everyone. I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and my Computer Bulletin Board, THE AMAZON'S ARENA BBS (714-840-1145). My name is Jim Woodard. I am 6'4" tall, weigh 209 pounds, am a member of The Tall Club of Orange County, and live in Huntington Beach, CA. I, and my 5'9" wife, love volleyball, which we play with the local Tall Club each weekend (until she hurt her knee over the 4th of July weekend going for a ball). In 1980 I, and my 6'5" girlfriend at that time Donna, started Above All Enterprises. This was a Hollywood personal management firm that specialized in obtaining work for Women over 6 feet tall and men over 6'9" tall in the TV and movie industry. We did quite well for about 2 years, but when Donna and I broke up, we desolved the business. Our tallest woman was 6'11" tall. Presently I am the SysOp of the Amazon's Arena BBS. We have over 250 subscribers from around the world. We are running a v32 v42bis 14.4 Twincom modem. We have over 400 gifs (pictures) and original text files devoted to the Amazonic Woman. These include Bodybuilders, boxers, wrestlers, weightlifters, as well as, short and tall (over 30') Amazons. My CoSysOp, Suzan Sager, is a true Amazon. She stands 6'3" tall in heels, weighs 250 pounds, and has many admirers on our BBS. She is a very strong willed woman and has just stared in Amazon Production's video, _Executive Crush_. This BBS as basically an X-Rated BBS and we have NO members under 18 years of age. Many of our members are writers and artists for the major producers of Amazonic Women material. They freely contribute material to "The Board". We also sell ALL of Amazon Productions, BuiltMore Productions, Right To Fight Society, and our own original Amazon and wrestling video tapes online. Trust me, I was there. Well, I have changed a few details, and expanded on others perhaps. I've transplanted the location to the chatsubo. (To fully appreciate all the details of the story it may help to be familiar with the alt.cyberpunk.chatsubo newsgroup and/or William Gibson's Neuromancer, but neither is absolutely required.) The real location was a small room at the ARCON 9 role playing game congress in Oslo, two weeks ago, in the _Macho Women With Guns_ (the role playing game for female chauvinist pigs of either sex) setting. Nuff said. -- TG] WARNING TAG: The Health Surgeon has determined that the following nasty brutish violent cyberpunk story may be hazardous to your mental health and may upset your digestive system. ------- I move carefully through the battered door and make my way to the counter. Ratz has already spotted me and is mixing my drink. I'm CyberAmazon, C-9000 Advanced Experimental Biotronic Prototype, and I'm in a mean mood. Ratz takes one look at my face and knows that I'm not feeling talkative tonight. He puts the hemo colada in front of me without a word and I flip a coin on the counter. I find a small unoccupied table and enjoy the drink in small doses. It dawns on me that I need to burn some steam. I'm considering how to deal with this when a voice interrupts my trail of thoughts. "Hey, babe, zat'za real nice outfit you're wearin', real cool, yeah, nice tits." I look at the sloppy meat weakling that's hanging over my table, my face expressionless. "Do you think so?" My voice is even and toneless. Inside I feel an odd mix of anticipation, anger and Nietzscean laughter building up. "Yeah, I think so. That body condom is my kind of thing, and I can do even better things with your tits than it does." I keep my voice toneless: "You're out of your league. Now get your squirrel ass out of here before I rip it off and feed it to the waste burner." I hope he has a weapon and will pull it at me. "You can't talk to me that way, babe! Apologize or I'll cut up your pretty fuckin' smooth face!" His hand waves towards my face with a knife in it. This must be X-mas eve. Sometimes my cyber reflexes surprise even me. I've grabbed his wrist even before I've formed the thought. I slowly increase the pressure while I get up. As I stand up I feel something give in his hand and hear a muffled crack, followed by a grinding sound as I maintain the pressure. The sound is hard to hear -- impossible for meat ears -- against the panicky scream of pain that accompanies it. I ain't through yet. With my other arm I grab his head and slams it into my chest, piercing his left eyeball with my ditto nipple. So much for mistaking my biocarbamide-steel exo-skeleton for a "body condom". The knife makes its clattering way to the floor as I release a limp, broken hand. A wet suction sound emerges as I let the sobbing creature dislodge himself from my chest by his own weight and crumple to the floor. A deformed slippery object has attached itself to my nipple. It comes off with a soft, spongy sound, slips deftly through my fingers and disappears into my drink with a distinct plop. I look at my drink, disgusted. Biosynth hemo colada is cool; lots of aminos, carbs and iron. (You meatlings have no idea how much aminos and iron it takes to maintain this inbuilt bioarmor. Well, you may get a lot of "personal mail" in your mailboxes, but _my_ personal mail is a part of my body.) No way drinking now. Natural hemo from strangers is a risky business. I pick up the crawling figure from the floor. "This is yours now. Drink it." All resistance broken, the meatwreck obeys unquestioningly, emptying the glass. The glass breaks on the floor as something gets stuck in his throat. He coughs and coughs, writhing on the floor like a big forest snail in a waffle iron. At last he gets it up and out. He holds the object in his hand. For several seconds his other eye refuses to recognize it. A chilling scream and the sleazemeat -- or what's left of him -- staggers out the door, the screams slowly fading out. He wasn't even enhanced. What a meatling. I'm CyberAmazon, C-9000 AEBP, and I'm feeling mean tonight. I look around. The Chatsubo has a mixed clientele for sure. All this social interaction makes me feel more sociable. I'm wondering if somebody else will approach me. Somebody with style and guts. They will need both, coz I tell ya, I'm feeling mean and macho tonight. I flip another coin to Ratz: "Sorry about the glass." My voice is a husky whisper.
